So, the Steampunk World’s Fair was this past weekend and it was dapper as fuck~ Went all three days but only cosplayed for two. Have a recap:

Day 1 was just getting the badge and window shopping mostly.

Day 2 was RDJ!Sherlock Holmes, which sadly got no pics since either no one recognized I was even cosplaying him or wasn’t steampunk-ish enough. :/ Still had a blast hanging with friends and attending Professor Donnelly’s workshops of bartisu and general Holmes history~ Did some more window shopping and finally found a riding crop to complete my Holmes cosplay! :D

Day 3 was upgraded Steampunk!Tony Stark, which got a bunch of pics which I’m waiting for flickr to upload and people loved it! Found a Daredevil and trolled the Beard Contest with my painted on goatee. Of course, I didn’t win but the audience wanted me to at least be a runner up. And sadly, the ladies didn’t fawn over me but that will change next year~ ♥

Also attended another of the Professor’s workshop of stick fighting and did more shopping. Mostly spent my money on absinthe truffles and food in general. As much as I love steampunk items/inventions, the prices are WAY outta my league cough despite being Tony Stark cough. But will definitely be attending again next year! If you are too, holla at me and we should hang~

i think it’s rather, how you interpret that character and bring it to life. The idea is to look as similar as the character as possible while keep it realistic. Well, at least that’s how I see it. Obviously one can’t be an anime character ROFL. Whatever hobbie everyone has is their business, I mean… collecting stamps it’s a waste of money and time. Buying merchandise of your favorite anime/manga might be also a waste of money and time. But people do it because they like it and IDK… saying cosplay is a waste of time, I don’t know. I mean, some of those are great works of art, I don’t think they deserve to be called a waste of time.

Fangirling is a waste of time. Playing video games are waste of time. Watching anime is a waste of time. Doing anything for fun and leisure is a waste of time. Oh my goodness, you’re not making any money or profit, then it’s such a waste of time.

If someone wants to have a passion in collecting butterfly wings or do anything for fun, why are you (the confession anon, not the person i’m reblogging from or the poor person who had to make this confession) judging them? It’s not like the person is harming anyone. You know what’s sad? When someone says it’s a useless skills or a useless hobby and prevent someone from being creative.
